Grange Pen Fish Sanctuary

Overview

Grange Pen Fish Sanctuary is a Special Fishery Conservation Area established under the Fisheries Act on March 29, 2024. The fish sanctuary is managed by Grange Pen Marine Association, which is a partnership association between the Grange Pen Fishers Association and Iberostar Resort (Branch Development Ltd). The length of the boundary is 4.86 kilometers.

BM1 is one of three monitoring sites within the Grange Pen Fish Sanctuary. Like the others, it is surrounded by reef habitat and will be monitored from a nearby boat mooring to support daily patrols and reduce anchor damage within the protected area.
