Online Training: Experiences in Strategic Water & Soil Management for the Sustainability of Agri-Food Systems

 

In the framework of the Regional Project "Strengthening the management of water and soil resources for the sustainability of the agri-food systems of the Caribbean countries in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic", and as a result of the triangular association between seven Caribbean countries, the German and Argentine Cooperation, the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) of Argentina present and online training course for producers, agronomic specialist and university students.

Objective of the Course

Provide knowledge, technical tools and introduce technologies for the governance and management of water and soil resources in the Caribbean countries, in order to contribute to the sustainability of the agri-food systems in the region.

Modality

First, it is essential to register in order to receive a username and password to enter the Distance Education Platform of INTA. During April 2023 those enrolled in the course will receive an email with the access link to the platform.

The course will be available for three months and will have four modules. The welcome module features the program and the presentation of the speakers. Then each module provides short videos, presentations and reading material for the topics that developed in the contents.

In addition, there will be a Consultation Forum, which is a space where participants can exchange and interact with the speakers. Due to the time differences between teachers and participants of the course, there will be a period of one week to answer the questions of the Consultation Forum.

Once on the platform, the participants will have multiple communication tools and pedagogical support that will allow them to internalize the contents of the course. In the last module, there will be a survey about the course to be filled out by the participants. Finally, the participants will be able to download a certificate of participation.
