Grenada Wild Animals and Birds Sanctuary Act (1928)
This Act establishes the Crown lands described as the Grand Etang Forest Reserve as a sanctuary for the wild animals and birds of Grenada. Any person who kills, wounds or takes a wild animal or bird or attempts to do, or sets a trap, snare, etc., or carries any firearm in the sanctuary, shall be guilty of an offence. Prosecution shall be sanctioned by the Director of Public Prosecutions. The Minister may, for such period and subject to such conditions as he or she thinks fit, authorize any person either for scientific purposes or for the purpose of reducing the number of wild animals in the Reserve, or in any other Forest Reserve in Grenada, to carry firearms, to set snares and traps and to kill or take any wild animal or bird.
